A challenge for architects Fernando Forte, Lorenzo Jimenez and: Rodrigo Marcondez FerrazThe trio led by the FGMF office was one of the most attractive. Design and decorate a one-story summer house that encourages family life. After 13 months, the 1200m² house in Campinas (SP) is ready to welcome its owners, a couple with two teenage girls.
nicknamed Sombrero house, its structure has exposed concrete columns that support metal roofs and pergolas. “This proposal provided an interesting space situation. the balcony floats without supports and the room is completely surrounded by glass and surrounded by gardens. In short, very rich and pleasant natural lighting and cross ventilation,” explains Fernando Forte.
Since the land will have neighbors on three sides, the solution was to create a plan C ie. home for youand bet on the prominent presence of the landscaping is signed Juliana Freitas, to create enchanting scenes. “We asked as a starting point that the garden to the right of the entrance, which runs behind the bookcase, is quite dense and tropical, like a small forest that will develop well over time,” reveals Forte. “To the left of the plot, where the pool and solarium are, we asked for a large grassy area for the family to enjoy the outdoors.”
In the interior, the decor has taken on a neutral base to let the architecture and landscaping shine. A standout is the freijó and sheet metal bookcase, also signed by FGMF, which leans against the glass walls and seems to be in the middle of the garden.
“On the other hand, the intimate spaces are opposed to the plan to guarantee the privacy of the residents,” notes the architect. However, the change does not affect the biophilia of the project, note the master suite with a bathroom and a view of one of the inner gardens. An inviting and comfortable home all year round.
