A drunk driver tries to escape the police and causes a serious accident in Manaus; watch the video

Manaus – A drunk driver caused a major accident this Sunday (12) on the busy Prof Nilton Lins Avenue in Manaus. According to police information, the driver was moving along the avenue when the police team approached him, but instead of stopping, he accelerated and ran away.

While fleeing, the driver hit the back of the Corsa Classic, which was parked in front of the 12th DIP. The impact was so strong that two more vehicles were hit. Witnesses report that the avenue was in chaos, with debris strewn across the asphalt and damaged cars.
The driver fled at high speed in an unknown model car, but was later detained on Avenida Torquato Tapajós. The police confirmed that the driver showed visible signs of intoxication and a criminal charge was filed against him for the criminal offense of driving while intoxicated, along with liability for material damage to the vehicles.
