Manaus – On Wednesday afternoon (6), a woman hired to care for a 56-year-old man with Parkinson’s disease was arrested, accused of extorting her own boss with whom he was having an affair in the Praça 14 district, in the Center-South of Manaus.
The victim lived alone and was held captive in the Zumbi dos Palmares district, east of the city. The abduction was discovered only because a neighbor noticed strange movements in the house at dawn on Tuesday (5) and alerted the man’s family.
According to the police, the housewife’s plan was discovered after the property’s security cameras captured the moment she opens the door for the three kidnappers to enter the house and hand over the victim. The boss was taken into captivity and there he was forced to make several transfers per pix totaling more than R$10,000.
The police discovered the man’s whereabouts and managed to save him. An investigation is underway to identify the trio who committed the robbery.
