AAEON introduces next-TGU8 and next-V2K8 ultra-compact single-board PCs based on Intel Tiger Lake and AMD Ryzen V2000.

AAEON, owned by ASUS, announced next-TGU8 and next-V2K8 single-board PCs based on Intel and AMD hardware platforms respectively. Comparable to the size of a regular bank card, the products are suitable for building devices for edge applications, robotics, drones, and more.

The next TGU8 model uses a Tiger Lake generation chip. it can be a Core i3-1115G4E, Core i5-1145G7E or Core i7-1185G7E solution with integrated Intel UHD graphics. The TDP figure is 15 watts in all cases. Meanwhile, the upcoming V2K8 version is powered by a Ryzen Embedded V2000 processor with Ryzen Embedded V2516 or Ryzen Embedded V2718 chip with Radeon RX Vega graphics. The TDP value is the same 15 watts. The new items have dimensions of 84 × 55 mm. The working temperature range is 0 to +60 °C.

Both new items can carry up to 16GB of LPDDR4x RAM. There is a SATA port for the drive and an M.2 connector (M-Key 2280) for an NVMe SSD with a PCIe 3.0 interface. The set of connectors includes two 1GbE (RJ-45) network ports, two USB 3.2 Gen2 Type-A ports and one HDMI 1.4b port that provides 4Kp30 output. In addition, eDP, two RS232/422/485 serial ports and four USB 2.0 ports can be used via onboard connectors. There is no information about the approximate prices yet.
