AMD unveils Ryzen 7000 processors. Which models will appear first?

The premiere of the AMD Ryzen 7000 processor is getting closer and closer. We have new information – the manufacturer accidentally revealed which models will debut on the market first.

The new generation of AMD Ryzen processors will be a small revolution

The new generation of processors is a small revolution. Ryzen 7000 systems will replace the current Ryzen 5000 models – we expect not only higher performance, but also much better functionality.

The processors should be based on the Zen 4 architecture made in 5- and 6-nanometer lithography. The chips will offer the same number of cores, but run at higher clocks. An additional advantage is the integrated graphics chip from RDNA 2 generation.

By the way, we will see a new platform – AM5, which will offer support for DDR5 RAM and PCI-Express 5.0 bus. Importantly, the new stand will be compatible with current AM4 coolers.

Ryzen 7000 – which models will appear first?

Ryzen 7000 processors are expected to debut in the fall, but the manufacturer has yet to reveal the exact model designations… at least officially.

AMD Ryzen 7000 - processor specifications

There are entries in the manufacturer’s database that reveal four new units: Ryzen 5 7600X, Ryzen 7 7700X, Ryzen 9 7900X and Ryzen 9 7950X – these models will most likely be the first to appear on the market (later the series will probably be expanded with more units).

It is true that the entries have already been removed from the manufacturer’s website, but … not exactly, because they are still visible in the code (a parameter has been added here that disables their visibility when browsing the page).

Ryzen 7000 processor specifications

Although the processor specification is not yet confirmed, you can guess with the number of cores / threads:

  • Ryzen 5 7600X – 6 cores / 12 threads
  • Ryzen 7 7700X – 8 cores / 16 threads
  • Ryzen 9 7900X – 12 cores / 24 threads
  • Ryzen 9 7950X – 16 cores / 32 threads

So, we are waiting for more information leaks about the processors … and of course the premiere.
