Apple Music Classical is a new app for music lovers
The first mention of the new Apple Music app was in February 2022. We’ve anticipated its debut several times over the past few months, but Apple Music Classical was only officially announced today. When will the new classic platform be available?
Apple Music Classical is a new app for classical music fans
The Cupertino giant reports that it is an app specially designed for classical music. It contains the “world’s largest” music catalogue, which can be searched using a genre-specific search engine. Songs are available in up to 192kHz/24bit Hi-Res Lossless. There is also support for surround sound technology and Dolby Atmos.
However, the American producer is convinced that the application will be attractive not only to music lovers, but also to people who are not perfectly familiar with classical music, but want to change it. It includes a catalog of hundreds of song playlists that everyone should know about, as well as in-depth composer biographies, step-by-step guides to many essential songs, and intuitive search functions.
The Apple Music Classical library contains over 5 million songs – from the classics to the newest compositions, including hundreds of albums not available anywhere else. The search is made easier by filters – you can not only search by work and composer name, but also by conductor or catalog number.
When will the Apple Music Classical app be available?
The program is already available in the App Store. There is currently information about the “pre-sale” – this will be made available to users in just under three weeks, on March 28, 2023. Important: without additional fees, that is, access to the new platform will be granted to all subscribers to the Apple Music service at the price of the paid subscription.
The app will be available almost everywhere an Apple Music subscription is available, except for China, Japan, Korea, Russia, Taiwan, Turkey, Afghanistan and Pakistan. An iPhone or iPod with iOS 15.4 or later is required to run. Also, the manufacturer mentions that an internet connection is required.
However, users of the program should know that only seven language versions will be available: English, Dutch, French, German, Italian, Portuguese and Spanish. There is no information about Polish.
