Apple’s recent union shop contacted Tim Cook , asking the company to provide information about benefits offered to non-union employees.In a letter to Tim Cook discovered by The Verge, the bargaining committee says it is disappointed to learn the company is withholding new health and education benefits offered to stores.The letter also accuses Apple of spreading misinformation by saying workers will have to settle for those benefits to be included in their contract. Further, it says Apple has not provided details about the new benefits, preventing the commission from including them in future contract negotiations. It became known as the Coalition of Organized Retail Employees (CORE) and is a partner of the International Association of Machinists and Aerospace Workers. Apple has said it will not challenge the vote and plans to negotiate with store workers “in good faith.”
