Biden announces delegation to accompany Lula’s inauguration

Holland will be joined by US Chargé d’affaires in Brazil Douglas Koneff and Biden’s special assistant Juan Gonzalez.

US President Joe Biden announced this Thursday the 22nd the delegation that will accompany the inauguration of President-elect Luiz Inacio Lula da Silva, which will take place on January 1, 2023 in Brazil. According to the official statement of the White House, the delegation will be headed by Deb Holland, Secretary of the United States Department of the Interior.

Haaland will be accompanied by US Chargé d’Affaires in Brazil Douglas Koneff and US Special Assistant to the President and Senior Director for Western Hemisphere Affairs at the National Security Council, Juan Gonzalez.
