At 12:45 p.m., southbound on the 400 freeway near the 401 freeway, Toronto police said one car was chasing another when shots were fired. Officers located the man a short time later with non-life threatening injuries.

Less than an hour later, at 1:30 a.m., Toronto Police and the OPP responded to reports of a shooting at Highway 401 and Port Union Rd. area of ​​Scarborough and found that a second car chase and shooting had occurred.

Another victim with minor injuries was found later in Durham Region and a car was found with bullet holes.

Toronto Const. David Hopkinson said freeway shootings are unusual in Toronto.

He said eyewitnesses have provided information about the shooters and “police are working to confirm the descriptions they have received.”
