Cheyenne man acquitted of firearms charges

Acting United States Attorney Nicholas Vassallo announced today that ROLAND FRENCH, 48, of Cheyenne, Wyoming, was acquitted by a federal jury on December 17, 2022, of unlawful possession of a firearm and possession of an unregistered short barrel shotgun with an obliterated serial number.

French was indicted on May 18, 2022 by a federal grand jury.

The trial was held before United States District Court Judge Alan B. Johnson and lasted three days.
