Crusoe. “Income Tax Table Crime”
The government is now negotiating a tax hike to correct the crime of not correcting the income tax table.

Eduardo de Carvalho, head of the Ministry of Finance’s economic advisory services during the Delfim Netto administration, reported how price indices worked in Brazil during the dictatorship.
According to Carvalho, Delfim was extremely concerned about prices in Guanabara, which have a higher weight in the index prepared by the Getulio Vargas Foundation (FGV). The concern reached the point where the ministry negotiated a product swap at Ceasa do Rio to monitor the index.
