Dan Ige Starches Damon Jackson With Walk-Off KO!
The Fight of the Night contender awaits at the UFC Vegas 67 co-event as Dan Ige takes on Damon Jackson in the highly anticipated featherweight matchup.
For Hawaii’s Ige, it’s a great opportunity to hit three bouts and start the new year off right footed. With a chance to climb into the top 15 with a victory over Ige in 13th place.
Both men came out to shoot with Ige landing a right hook, which caused Jackson to stumble backward into the cage. Mix body shots before going upstairs with various hooks. An accidental eye poke from Ige temporarily halts the battle. Although the action continued shortly after, Ige finished the round with maximum control after maintaining a strong two-legged takedown within a split second of the first frame.
Ige continued to use his body as the battle continued. Slowing down his opponent’s lateral movement and helping Jackson get where Ige wanted, the Fortis MMA product started finding his range towards the end of the second round. Mix up a series of mix-ups and earn Ige’s respect. As soon as Jackson starts to gain momentum, Ige does a fierce left hook, sending Jackson crashing to the mat and effectively ending the fight.

“50k” Ige thundered back to the victory column. And is likely to get top 10 opponents in the next round. for jackson It goes back to the drawing board. where he will find a way to fill gaps and learn from this painful setback.
