A BLOODY scene has been revealed in a motel bathtub after a man shot dead a love rival who “raped his girlfriend” during a “date night”.
A California man is accused of killing a Wyoming man after the victim tried to sexually assault his girlfriend and then raped her.
The Laramie Boomerang reported that Hunter O. Fulton, 29, has been charged with second-degree murder, mutilation of a dead human body, possession of a deadly weapon with unlawful attempt, aggravated assault and battery.
Fulton attacked the victim, known as MTC, in a Gas Lite Motel room after allegedly raping the woman at knife point.
The victim had earlier lunged at her at a bar, it was reported.
“If your girlfriend had been raped, you would have killed him too,” Fulton, 29, told LPD officers after his June 29 arrest.
Fulton told police he was protecting his girlfriend.
Police found a ‘kill kit’ containing several saws and a box of garbage bags near the bathtub.
The victim’s body had cuts near the torso and elsewhere.
The couple met the victim during a trip to Wyoming when he tried to flirt with the woman at a bar.
He then apologized to Fulton and his girlfriend and offered to buy them drinks, according to an affidavit in the case.
The woman told investigators that she and Fulton then returned to their motel room and took cocaine.
Fulton left the room and the victim then entered and allegedly raped her.
When officers arrived at the scene, they found Fulton sitting in a car and arrested him.
Fulton told police they would find everything they needed in the motel room.
During the autopsy, MTC’s death was ruled a homicide, according to the affidavit.
Fulton is being held at the Albany County Detention Center on $1 million bail.
He faces a minimum of 20 years to life in prison if convicted of second-degree murder.
