Don’t miss this year’s Big Breakfast

How do you like your eggs in the morning? If it’s with a side of fabulous fundraising, North Devon Hospice community fundraiser, Jadeen, explains that you won’t want to miss this year’s annual big breakfast…

They say breakfast is the most important meal of the day and at North Devon Hospice we couldn’t agree more. Whether it’s croissants and coffee, tea and toast or a good old fry-up, tucking into a delicious and hearty breakfast is the perfect way to start your day. That’s why I want to invite you to join our annual Big Breakfast fundraiser this March!

Every year, hospice supporters from across North Devon come together to enjoy a delicious breakfast and raise vital funds to help care for patients and families facing life-limiting illnesses such as cancer. Just yesterday my fundraising colleagues and I had the pleasure of welcoming several members of our local community to our first big breakfast of 2023 here at the hospice in our beautiful Terrace Café. As well as a delicious cooked breakfast, it was great to be greeted by so many friendly faces and to hear more about how the end of life care you help provide is changing the lives of local people.

Although it was a morning to remember, with full tummies and smiling faces, if you didn’t get to join us for yesterday’s Big Breakfast, don’t despair because there’s still plenty to come. On Friday 3rd March, Saunton Golf Club is hosting another Big Breakfast event from 8am to 12.30pm, so why not come along?

Alternatively, you can join us at the next Big Breakfast event or host your own at home, in your village hall or anywhere else you like! All you have to do is set a date and time and spread the word to family, friends and colleagues and invite them to join you for a lovingly cooked breakfast to raise vital funds for your local hospice. With donations down and the cost of living crisis still affecting our services, your support has never been more valuable.
