Dortmund’s gaming fair remains and grows

In “Play!”, everything revolves around the table and the card game. Now it is clear whether the big trade fair will also take place in Dortmund’s Westfalenhallen in the future.

After successful negotiations, Dortmund’s “Play it!” the game will remain fair games for the next few years as well. The organizer announced this in a press release.

However, the fair is moving from the 5th hall to the 4th hall, which has an area of ​​more than 8300 square meters. This means that the table and card fair has 3000 square meters more space for games. Thanks to the larger space, there will be room for further growth in the future, the organizer said in a statement. The northern entrance offers an additional 1,500 sq m and is also used.

More than 10,000 visitors at the last fair

In the future, the “Play” game in Dortmund will always take place on the last weekend of April. Next year, the fourth game fair will be held from April 28 to 30, 2023. Almost 11,200 visitors played in Dortmund at the last trade fair in early July.

There were about 100 exhibitors and brands. They included industry giants such as small publishers and game designers with their prototypes. The highlight was the gaming area where fairgoers could borrow and try the games.
