Elon Musk is now the sole owner of the Twitter platform

billionaire Elon Muskthe sole owner of I tweet, announced this Friday, the 28th, that it will create a “content moderation board” on the platform, which will be characterized by the inclusion of “very diverse points of view”. Musk, who took to his Twitter account to communicate some of his intentions, emphasized in his latest tweet that “until this board meets, there will be no further decisions on account content or reinstatement.” . The businessman seems to be referring to all those whose accounts have been blocked in recent years for violating the network’s content policies, mainly for posting hateful or insulting messages. The most prominent account among those blocked was that of the former president of the United States Donald Trump (2017-2021), stuck behind attack on the capital in January 2021, due to allegations that he incited his followers to commit violent acts. Earlier Friday, Trump himself praised Musk’s acquisition of Twitter, saying on his Truth social network that he was “happy that Twitter is now in good (people’s) hands,” but did not clarify whether he intended to returned to the network. Musk has yet to confirm, via tweets or otherwise, the firing of Twitter’s top executives and the terms of those firings, which have been confirmed by several major US media outlets.
