The billionaire has repeatedly said his tenure as Twitter CEO is temporary. However, a few days ago, he wrote in his Twitter microblog that “there is no follower”. “It’s not about finding a CEO, it’s about finding a CEO who can keep Twitter alive,” Musk said in a post.

Along with that, a few days ago the billionaire published a survey in which he asked the users of the platform if he should leave the position of the head of the company. More than 17 million Twitter users took part in the poll, with the majority (about 57%) favoring Musk’s resignation as CEO. At the end, the billionaire wrote that he will accept the results of the vote.

As reported by CNBC, Musk started looking for a successor before starting the aforementioned survey on the social network. Since buying Twitter for $44 billion in October of this year, Musk has done many things that have raised concerns among the public, shareholders of his other companies, creditors and others. As for the report that Musk has been looking for a candidate for the CEO of Twitter for a long time, the billionaire himself has not yet commented on the issue.
