Games of 2022 according to PlayStation. Check out the official results!

PlayStation has released the official plebiscite results for the games of 2022. Players voted in 16 categories, and prizes were awarded to the titles with the most total votes. Which games are on the list?

Games of 2022 according to PlayStation

The Game Awards 2022 gala is behind us – we got to know the game of the year (which turned out to be Elden Ring), we found out that he won the most awards God of War Ragnarok and we learned the official release date Star Wars Jedi: Survivor. It was slightly different from the one leaked on Steam before TGA 2022.

PlayStation also prepared its list of games of the year. Players voted in 16 categories that selected the 4 best titles available on Sony consoles. The platinum trophy was awarded to the games that received the most votes, followed by gold, silver and bronze.

The categories, as I already mentioned above, were 16. Besides the Game of the Year title and the Most Anticipated Game, there were awards for the best new character or the best use of the DualSense controller. I wonder if the titles in this category could convince you to buy the Edge version…?

Coming back, this is the list of categories along with the award winning titles.

Summary with no big surprises

As expected, he won the most awards God of War Ragnarok. The exact same titles, in the exact same order, received the Best Games categories on both PlayStation 4 and PlayStation 5. Considering the fact that PS4 is still supported, this doesn’t surprise me at all.

The most anticipated game of the year is The Hogwarts legacywhich is at least the Sony console community agrees with my opinion. What bothers me though is the fact that the “best re-released game” category was created. Should we pay more for old games with new graphics?

Did anything surprise you? Disagree with any of the items listed here? Or on the contrary – did you vote for the titles that are on this list? Let me know in a comment!
