GeForce RTX 3060 in the new version

Although it seemed that Nvidia was only focusing on the next generation of GeForce RTX 40 graphics systems, there could be a big surprise soon. Unofficially, there is talk of a new version of the best-selling GeForce RTX 3060.

Despite the passage of several years since the first, the GeForce RTX 3060 is still very popular among gamers. No wonder, since it is currently difficult to find a more profitable GPU at a price below 2000 PLN.

It looked like Nvidia would soon want to reduce interest in this card at the expense of next-gen systems, but there are plenty of indications that it will be quite the opposite.

The most powerful version of the GeForce RTX 3060 is coming?

The latest reports indicate that Nvidia will be working on a new variant of this GPU, based on an all-new GA104 core.

However, this is not the only novelty – the new variant of the RTX 3060 is to use GDDR6X memorytherefore give a similar choice to the individual versions of the GeForce RTX 3060 Ti, available with GDDR6 and GDDR6X.

If this information is confirmed, Nvidia will launch the fourth variant of the RTX 3060. We have a basic version with 8 GB of GDDR6, as well as two versions with 12 GB of GDDR6 – the regular technology and Lite Hash Rate, limiting the ability to mine cryptocurrencies.

However, what is important the new version of this GPU will be the most powerful of the set. This is mainly due to the new VRAM chips, which are characterized by 36% higher bandwidth compared to the base technology. That should mean a gain in the form of at least a few extra frames per second, as well as greater efficiency, among other video editing software.

Of course, it’s worth taking these reports with a grain of salt, but you’ll agree that they sound quite interesting.
