The death chamber of Queen Louise of Prussia (1776-1810) at Hohenzierter Castle in the Mecklenburg Lake District has some of the original furnishings. As the representative of the memorial said, the original marble bust of the queen was brought back and erected in the “Luisentag” on July 19, the anniversary of the death of the once famous monarch. The two-hundred-weight bust was made by the sculptor Christian Daniel Rauch (1777-1857).
