At the end of the first set of steps for the More Than a Weapon quest line, you’ll unlock the first weekly quest: Operation Archimedes, dive into another Rasputin bunker, and retrieve another part of his subminds. The quest is longer, and while most of it is relatively easy, the first and last sections take effort and skill. We’ll go over each part of the quest in this guide.
Infiltrate the power substation
Upon entering the mission, your first task is to cross the snow field to reach the bunker entrance. The catch? The bunker’s defensive systems only give you 15 seconds to move from cover to cover before being incinerated. However, there is a safe path that will take you to the bunker without breaking a sweat.
The area is littered with rocky outcrops with convenient openings. There are about ten of them that you’ll need to get to the bunker entrance. You’ll be able to see every new bit of cover from your current rock ledge, and since your timer quickly resets to zero when you move out of line of sight from the defense turrets, you can be sure you’re heading in the right direction before you run. in danger. 🇧🇷
You’ll eventually make a crescent shape on your right to reach the bunker, but it will take about thirteen seconds to enter. Make sure the Threat Detection timer has completely expired and go straight to the open hatch. If you get it wrong, you respawn at the end of the cap, allowing you to try again easily.
Go down the hatch and follow the tunnels down. When you reach a room with a Hive cage trap in front of a door, you’ll move on to the next stage of the quest.
Arriving at the auxiliary reactor controls
Now is the time to fight. Go through the door and you’ll enter a roughly circular room with some Hive enemies. Clear them out and proceed through the door at the back of the room. The area beyond is yet another Hive; clearing them will open a larger hatch in the back right of the room. Proceed.
In the next room, you’ll need to clear every hive you can see to force a yellow bar enemy, a Bow Charge Knight, to appear. Kill him to generate his Arc Charge, which you can take to the power station near the door on the other side of the room.
Through said door is a long hallway with more Hive and another Knight to kill. Place the Downward Arc Charge on the second power station to open the door to the final room. Set up the rally banner if you’re low on ammo or skill energy, then get ready for a big fight.
Clean the hive and charge the final battery
The Operation: Archimedes boss fight takes place in two phases. First, you need to halve the health of Sumok, Ravager of Torobatl. Ogre will occasionally block your attacks with a black mist shield, but if you stay far enough away from him and time your shots well, you can start to tire him out. We recommend a Linear Fusion Rifle to fight Sumok, as his entire head is a critical point.
Use Wrathborn Knights’ Hive Wells to damage the boss’s shield
Once Sumok reaches half health, he will retreat to the bottom of the chamber and create an immunity shield. To break the shield, you need to have the Wrathful perk, which you can only get by standing in pools of green energy dropped by Wrathborn Knights. These Hive Knights will start to appear once the second phase starts, and you’ll recognize them by the green glow around their heads. The buff lasts as long as you remain energized and the puddles last for 15 seconds. Dealing enough damage to Sumok’s shield will break it and you can defeat it normally.
Clean the hive and charge the final battery, restore auxiliary power
When Sumok dies, he will cast one last bow charge. Take it to the back of the room and deposit it in the power plant. If you haven’t already, eliminate the rest of the hive in the room and go to the opposite side of the power plant to hit the Reboot Reactor button.
After the reactor has restarted, you will hear a final performance from your NPC allies and you will have completed Operation: Archimedes.
