President Luiz Inacio Lula da Silva thanked the people of the Bolsonaro state of Mato Grosso for his Agriculture Minister Carlos Favaro, whom he described as an “extraordinary citizen”. The speech took place during the delivery event of 1,440 Minha Casa, Minha Vida (MCMV) houses in Rondonopolis (MT) this Friday the 3rd.
In a criticism of former president Jair Bolsonaro, he said he would give a prize to anyone who said the former manager’s work was delivered in the state. “I doubt it,” and he pointed out that the only inauguration he knows Bolsonaro has done is the wooden bridge.
Lula joked that the houses delivered by MCMV should have a barbecue so you can barbecue. With that, he said that the price of meat in the country should also decrease even more. To those who do not eat meat, the head of the executive promised “healthy agriculture so that people can eat a well-prepared salad.”
The president also noted that the country produces enough food for its people, but there are still hungry citizens. “People go hungry because they don’t have money to buy the necessary food, because if they had money, they would find food in the supermarket.”
