Kirti Tewani shared the tips in a TikTok video that has been viewed over 140,000 times.
The first mistake he shares is about combining milk and fruit.
It explains why these two items commonly found in smoothies should not be paired.
“Milk takes longer to digest, while fruit digests very quickly,” Tewani said.

“Now imagine that combination doing things to your stomach.
Next, Tewani boldly told him to stop enjoying his hot tea with honey.
“Stop heating the honey,” said the Ayurvedic expert.
In the comments, she said it’s just an “ayurvedic principle” she follows for better health.
Another tip the health guru had was to avoid mixing jaggery or tulsi with milk.
“I know a lot of Indians put tulsi or holy basil in their chai with milk – stop that,” she said.
In the comments, he specifies this by saying: “Holy basil belongs to the mint family and has a pungent, bitter taste.
“Milk, on the other hand, has very different properties. Foods that are inherently incompatible lead to an imbalance in the body.”
She also said that just because food is bland doesn’t mean it’s better for you.
“Bland food is not your digestion’s best friend, so spice up your food,” she advised.
And finally, Tewani said you should always be critical of new health trends.
“People do all these fad things with food without understanding the long-term effects of that particular ‘healthy food’ on their bodies,” she said.
“Try doing something that’s more sustainable for your body than jumping from one trend to another.

“It’s not good for your body.
