In Rio, an app driver was arrested for raping a 15-year-old teenager

An app driver from Itagua, in the Metropolitan Region of Rio, was arrested on Thursday 9, accused of raping a 15-year-old teenager after a race on 10 February. The 27-year-old driver was recognized by the young woman and her two friends.
The crime happened shortly after the trio made a ride request on the app while leaving the city mall. The driver who had accepted the race was the same one who had taken the teenagers to the place.
On the way home, the two friends got off first. After that, the driver started harassing the young woman.
According to his statement to the Civil Police, the accused asked if he had a boyfriend and started complimenting him. The victim became confused and said she was too young, but the man insisted on the conversation.
After that, the teenager tried to leave the car, but he locked the doors and took her to a dark and secluded street near her house, where the rape took place.
After committing the crime, the driver took the young woman to his address as if nothing had happened.
The accused will answer for serious rape.
