It will be warmer today, strong winds are expected

Temperatures will be warmer today as a storm system approaches the area and pushes into western Wyoming. Strong winds will develop across central Wyoming and the eastern foothills. Wind gusts of 40-70 mph can be expected from South Pass east into Natrona County. Highs today will be 50 in Worland, 49 in Thermopolis, 46 in Dubois, 41 in Riverton, 40 in Lander and 38 in Jeffrey City and Shoshoni. Maximum wind gusts today are expected to reach 59 mph in Jeffrey City, 44 mph in South Pass and Thermopolis, 30 mph in Riverton, 28 mph in Dubois and 21 mph in Lander.
