Koo users will be able to use ChatGPT to write posts
Indian social network Koo (Android, iOS) will integrate OpenAI’s ChatGPT into its platform. Users will be able to use artificial intelligence (AI) to create posts, as co-founder Mayank Bidawatka reported to Reuters this Monday, the 13th. The feature will be made available to verified accounts and eventually to everyone, but it is not known. which countries will have access to the tool, at first, or when it will happen.
Users will be able to use ChatGPT directly within the app. It will help make posts about current events, politics or pop culture, for example. Bidawatka said users will be able to ask the chatbot what news is trending in their region and ask it to write something about it. Currently, about 20% of Koo users actively create content through the app. He hopes the integration of AI will help increase that percentage.
According to the co-founder, Koo will be the first digital platform to use ChatGPT to compose posts on a social network. At the moment, Snap (Android, iOS) was the only other social network to integrate the technology, but it did so in a different way. In it, AI is used more as a chatbot than as a content creator.
Users will be able to type what they want to the assistant or use voice command. The ChatGPT reply can even contain hashtags. Koo will consider adding tags to identify AI-generated posts, according to Bidwatka. For it, people need to know when content is generated by AI.
