Tonight during the UFC Vegas 67 post-fight press conference, Dana White made a number of announcements regarding some of her upcoming fights. One fight he confirmed was finalized is one we thought was imminent, but rumors were swirling that it wasn’t a finished deal.

Heavyweight champ Leon Edwards (20-3, 1 NC) will return home to London, England for UFC 286 where he faces rival and former champion Kamaru Usman (20-2) for the third time. Justin Gaethje – Rafael Fiziev will serve as co-main event.

Edwards and Osman fought for the title again in August at UFC 278. In the first round, Edwards shocked everyone when he landed on the champion. He would continue to dominate in the first round. However, from there Kamaru Usman took over and controlled the second through the fourth round.

Before the fifth round, corner kick Edwards begged him to fire knowing he needed the knockout to win. For nearly four minutes, Osman was in control. Next, Edwards landed the kick heard around the world as he knocked out the pound-for-pound king to become the UFC Champion.

Now, they’re going to take things back for a third time. Osman dominated the first battle. He seemed to be in control of the second fight until a massive headbutt from Edwards. I suppose Edwards would be the weak bet despite being both home and reigning UFC champion.
