Lollapalooza headliner Kevin Parker announces hip fracture, scares Tame Impala fans
The singer confirmed the Latin American tour, which will end with a performance at the festival, in São Paulo; the group will also visit Argentina, Chile, Colombia and Paraguay

On social networks, he spoke about the incident on the eve of a series of shows in Latin America. “I broke my hip. I tried to run a half marathon which turned out to be an existing stress fracture. Arrived 1 kilometer from the finish line. That’s life, I guess. All shows in Mexico and Latin America will go on as scheduled. I will not give up on you”, he wrote on the group’s official profile, with photos from the surgical process. The group’s first show takes place this Friday, in Mexico. In total, the band will play in six countries and complete the presentations at the festival. Lollapalooza, in São Paulo, on March 25. Argentina, Chile, Colombia and Paraguay are also in the program. With four cancellations of presentations in this edition of Lollapalooza Brazil, fans were shocked by Parker’s health and feared the arrival of the band, which is one of the main attractions of the event. “For God’s sake, I’m a cardiac. Let’s get better, Brazil is waiting for you”, wished a fan. “You can do the show in Brazil sitting down, but do it for the love of God,” wrote another.
