However, similar to all his fights since then, Grant hasn’t received the roar of the crowd after that. The limited seating makes it fairly quiet as well. with all of his subsequent bouts held at Apex. Even though he felt the same no matter what.

“Even though I’m not in the crowd But I still feel like I’m in a big stadium,” Grant explains. “I’m just 100% focused on the job.”

UFC Las Vegas this weekend will be the first of many changes for Grant. He will fight in the theater at the Vigrin Hotel, a famous MMA site formerly known as Joint, at the Hard Rock Hotel. The crowd couldn’t have come at a better time for Grant, who was producing a massive win. not only that But he will be stepping in with a big name in the sport for some time now, Rafael Assuncao.

While Assuncao wasn’t what he used to be lauded for, Grant still respected the veteran and knew he couldn’t ignore what was in front of him.

“He has had a great career. And now he keeps going,” he said. “It’s still a dog and I still have to be on my game 100 per cent, but I feel like it’s time.”

And when it comes to the game plan for a veteran like Assuncao Grant wasn’t shy about what he hoped to do. In fact, it was what he hoped to do every time he stepped out there.

“I tried to knock him down without disrespecting anyone. But that was always going to be my game plan,” Grant recalls. “I was expecting a war. and everything else is just a bonus. But I’m going there to get rid of people, every day, every day and twice on Sunday.”

He’ll get a chance to do just that during Saturday’s ESPN+ qualifiers for UFC Las Vegas.
