Marina Silva cancels meetings and is hospitalized in Brasilia
The Minister of the Environment stayed at Brasília Hospital after a medical consultation; the politician was recently in Roraima for a visit to Yanomami indigenous lands

Minister of Environment and Climate Change, Marina Silva, was hospitalized in Brasília, in the Federal District, this Monday the 13th. In a publication on her social networks, the leader of the climate file pointed out that she began to show flu symptoms and that, therefore, she canceled the agenda of her for the Day. With that, after going to a local hospital, the minister remained hospitalized for further examinations after negative tests for dengue and Covid-19. There was an expectation that the minister might have been infected with malaria since recently Marina Silva was in Roraima for a visit to the Yanomami indigenous lands to verify the actions implemented by the Brazilian Institute of Environment and Renewable Natural Resources (Ibama) in the country. The president is also on the networks Luiz Inacio Lula da Silva (PT) wished the minister a speedy recovery. “I wish you a good and speedy recovery”, said the PT candidate. In addition to the representative, federal deputy Sâmia Bonfim also expressed improvements for the head of the ministerial portfolio.
With flu symptoms, Minister Marina Silva canceled her schedule this Monday afternoon (3/13) and was hospitalized in Brasília for tests. Tests for Covid and Dengue came back negative. The minister is well and under observation, following medical advice.
