MobizapSP starts operations in São Paulo by March 24

MobizapSP (Android, iOS) will be operational between March 22 and 24, informed the department of mobility and traffic of the city of São Paulo. Officially, the app was launched to the public last Thursday, the 9th, as a cheaper alternative to existing private racing services in the city. And, by the morning of this Monday the 13th, the app had more than 9,800 drivers authorized by the system.

The app has been having problems registering users since last Thursday. According to the secretariat, the problems were solved on Saturday, the 12th. Mobile Time tested and registration for new users worked on Monday, the 13th, with a small delay in sending the email with the confirmation code.

Produced by the 3C Consortium, the MobizapSP application won a bid to operate in the city of São Paulo for five years with the approval of the municipality, however, without direct benefits for the municipal administration. Its main prerogatives are a fairer share of revenue, with 89.05% of the trip value going to the driver and 10.95% to the company. There is no dynamic pricing for consumers.
