‘Nancy Drew’ ends on The CW with fourth and final season

Despite a pleasantly surprising renewal for The CW’s Nancy Drew mystery series, the fourth season, which is currently in production, will be the show’s last. The news was confirmed for Juice Mobile by The CW Network and CBS Studios.

Starring Kennedy McMann as the titular detective, The CW’s Nancy Drew brought a decidedly more adult and supernatural bent to the series, making it an instant CW-style classic. With three seasons starting in 2019, Nancy Drew was never a ratings hit, but it seemed to make a difference in streaming. In fact, that was one of the reasons cited for the surprise renewal earlier this year, along with other shows like The Flash. and riverdale which are also wrapping up their upcoming seasons.

While no specific reason was given for the cancellation, The CW is at a time of serious change.
