Nothing Phone Update 1. What changes Nothing OS 1.1.6

Another update for the extraordinary super medium like Nothing Phone (1) becomes a fact! What did Carl Pei and his team improve on their flagship this time?

Another update that improves “this and that” in Nothing phone (1) saw the light of day a few days ago.

At the moment it’s not yet available for download in Poland, although that doesn’t prevent you from checking out what exactly changes compared to the previous version of the software.

Nothing Phone 1 – Updated to Nothing OS 1.1.6

We’ve had camera fixes in pretty much every previous update. That doesn’t change in this case. The entire changelog looks like this:

  • New properties:
    • Google AR Core support;
    • 5G access for Indian Reliance JIO users;
  • The camera:
    • More detailed video with improved stabilization;
    • The recording LED is now on by default;
  • Changes:
    • Optimized, smoother launcher operation;
    • More accurate battery indicator;
    • Increased maximum brightness by displaying HDR content;
    • Updated, more responsive animation for Flip to Glyph;
    • Glyph LED charging indicator has been synchronized with the sound effect;
    • Updated NFC sound effect;
    • General troubleshooting.

The most interesting is the change in the quality of the shots, as well as the topic of maximum brightness. Nothing Phone (1) features a display brightness of 1200 nits. It’s actually around 700 nits, at least on paper. Therefore, the company decided to “unblock” this feature, which I will check when the update comes out in Poland.

When in Poland?

Usually, even from the time it appeared to the first users, I got a notification about an available update after about 2 weeks. Therefore, we will probably get it the beginning November.

In the meantime, the Nothing Ear (Stick) test has been published

Nothing ear (stick) test. Super light in-ear headphones in the test. Are they worth the money?
