Paulo Fogaça, formerly of Gut, is the new CEO of Dentsu Creative USA

Paulo Fogaça takes over the leadership of Dentsu Creative in the US as CEO, replacing Jon Dupuis, who was named president of global clients in October. From July 2019 to December 2021, the Brazilian was Global Operations Director and Partner at Gut in Miami. Previously, he held the same role as David for almost six years.

Fogaça’s appointment comes amid Dentsu Group’s global restructuring, announced in September. The establishment of Dentsu Creative was announced in June and is the result of the consolidation of the DentsuMB, 360i and Isobar brands. Another Brazilian has also been hired by the global CCO, Fred Levron, for the creative command: Rafael Rizuto answers as the CCO of the North American and Latin American markets since September.

In his current role, Fogaça will be tasked with consolidating Dentsu’s strategy and positioning in the US. He will report to Levron and Jacka Kelley, managing director and chief global account officer for the Americas.

Since he left Gut last year, where he managed the operations of five offices, he devoted himself to personal projects. During his 25-year career, he was responsible for campaigns such as Burger King’s “Google Home of the Whopper” and “McWhopper,” and Heinz’s “Wiener Stampede” case for Super Bowl 50.
