Pernambucanas is the new partner of women’s football in Palmeiras. The retailer is the fourth brand to sponsor the club mode, along with Betfair, Cartão de Todos and Cimed.
Lovers of vitamins and brands: Cimed’s plans in sports
The start of the partnership occurs with the debut of the brand, on the back of the players’ shirts, in the second leg of the final of the Paulista Championship, which will be played this Wednesday, the 21st, against Santos at Allianz Parque. The match had a record attendance so far, with 12,000 reserved tickets.
The initiative is part of Pernambucanas’ plans to support women’s football. This means that the retailer is present as a supporter of the ‘Looking for a Star’ project.
The initiative aims to create opportunities for development, growth and success for girls who want to be professional athletes, through their education and inclusion in the sports market.
Answering a question posed by Medium and message, a statement from Palmeiras says that Pernambucanas’ contract with the club is being extended until next year and that it is part of a larger project by the company with the team. The press release, however, does not provide further details about this project.
