PF launches operations against drug trafficking in 11 states

In total, operations ‘Catrapo’ and ‘The Fallen’ carried out 49 search and seizure warrants and 19 preventive arrest warrants.

THE Federal police launched this Wednesday, the 6th, two major operations in Brazil to fight smuggling, drug trafficking and money laundering. THE Operation Katrapo is based on the arrest of its leader, the former Major of the Military Police Mato Grosso do Sul, Sergio Roberto de Carvalho. They used planes with elaborate prefixes to transport the cocaine to Europe and including PERU AND Bolivia. Drugs and 40 million Russians were seized. A total of 28 search and seizure orders and 13 preventive arrest orders were carried out, which were implemented. Mato Grosso, São Paulo, Rio de Janeiro, The Holy Spirit, Minas Gerais, amazon, Rondonia AND Tocantins. “The investigated gang brought planes from abroad and when they arrived in the country, they changed the prefixes of these planes. They were used to search for drugs in Bolivia and Peru destined mainly for Europe”, explained the supervisor of the Federal Police of Mato Grosso, Sérgio Sadão Mori. In another operation called “Fall“, the target was the smuggling of aircraft parts used by drug traffickers to transport drugs. 21 search and seizure orders and 6 preventive arrest warrants were executed in the states of Pernambuco, São Paulo, Paraná, Minas Gerais and Bahia. It all started with a suspicious import of aircraft parts that arrived in Recife.
