Police arrest man who used dating sites to commit crimes; see prison

Amazon – Josevaldo Bezerra Pluma, 36 years old, was arrested last Wednesday (8), in the neighborhood of Redenção, in the Midwest zone of Manaus, by the police team of the 13th Integrated Police District (DIP). He was accused of committing a major robbery and attempted rape in the capital of Amazonas.
Police said the accused used registrations on dating sites to lure his victims. He would take them to a certain place and announce the theft, trying to sexually assault the women.
Delegate Cícero Túlio, holder of the 13th SEC, reported that the last case occurred on March 4 of this year, when he took the girl to a forest area located in the Tarumã district, announced the theft and attempted to sexually assault her.
At the police station, the man was found to have a huge list of criminal records, with more than 30 police reports to his name for crimes such as embezzlement, embezzlement and other property offences.
He was also suspected of several robberies in the cities of São Paulo and Mogi das Cruzes.
