Possible release date for RTX 5000 and RX 8000 (GDDR7)

GeForce RTX 5000 and Radeon RX 8000 graphics cards could arrive sooner than expected. According to a report, the first builds would be equipped with GDDR7 memory with a speed of 36 Gbps.

The desktop GeForce RTX 4000 has been on the market for a relatively short time. This was well illustrated by the Steam survey, thanks to which it is known that new Green builds represent only a small percentage of graphics cards in use.

Even cooler are the mobile systems, which haven’t even managed to install properly in the latest laptops. The same goes for AMD’s products. The latest RXs still have plenty of time to win the hearts of gamers.

So how about maps RTX5000 And RX8000 can come surprisingly fast?

GeForce RTX 5000 already in 2024?

TechPowerUp reports that the next generation of NVIDIA GeForce RTX 5000 cards could debut already at the end of 2024. The same goes for AMD’s competing RXs. They must be equipped with the latest GDDR7 memory, which will replace the GDDR6 currently used from 2018.

The new solution would offer speeds of up to 36 Gbps initially. That would be a definite performance leap over the current generation of cards from both manufacturers.

However, I don’t see much sense in releasing successors so quickly. The stats clearly show that only the RTX 3000 started gaining popularity, which is not at all surprising since they are very solid builds that allow you to literally beat every new production.

Their benefits don’t end there, of course, as we’ll be running the lion’s share of games at highest graphics detail at either 1920 by 1080 or 2560 by 1440. I had a problem was … refreshed The Witcher 3, whose roots go back to the year 2015. Buying a new graphics card for a single game is useless in my opinion.

Given that the RTX 4000 and RX 7000 are averagely cost effective compared to their predecessors, what’s the point of releasing even newer and more powerful systems in such a short time? If the predictions turn out to be true, I wouldn’t be surprised if the Greens’ and Reds’ new products sold out tragically.
