Rain and snow is expected in North Devon overnight
With snow on the ground in parts of North Devon today, the Met Office is forecasting more sleet and snow tonight and tomorrow morning.
According to the Met Office weather report for the south west tonight we can expect: “Widespread snow/rain but changing to rain again in the far south west. Patches of ice forming as the snow clears by the early hours. Wind light in the north east but a coastal breeze.”
The minimum temperature tonight is expected to be 2°C.
Tomorrow, Thursday 9 March, the weather will lighten in the south west and the snow will mostly change to rain by mid-morning.
During Thursday we can expect heavy wintry showers and strong winds in coastal areas.
The outlook for Friday is milder but still uncertain, with high winds and the risk of more rain and sleet.
