remake only after the fourth part

The Witcher Remake is one of the loudest announcements in recent weeks. But you know what, you better forget her.

The Witcher remake is further along than you think

If you read our news regularly, you probably know that the first Witcher will be a remake on Unreal Engine 5. That’s great news, but… you better forget you read about it. Really.

The creators immediately pointed out that the project is in the early stages, and we will have to wait a little longer to taste the fruits of the collaboration between CD Projekt RED and Fool’s Theory. However, now Adam Kiciński (and therefore the head of CD Projekt) has supplemented this information, pointing to the fact that this remake will be released no earlier than the next part of the Witcher series, hidden under the name “Polaris”.

It’s understandable, but it doesn’t change anything

On the one hand, this is understandable because the remake of the first Witcher will be based on the technology developed for the fourth installment of the series. On the other hand, however, the announcement of this project appeared a little too soon.

Current reports indicate that the new version won’t debut until 2025, which means we could be waiting another three or maybe four years (if not more) for the recently announced remake. That’s why it’s better to forget that such a project is being developed at all and not fool yourself that the premiere is around the corner.
