Renault has approved an investment of Rs 2 billion by 2025 in Brazil this Thursday (30). The resources will be used to build a platform for the production of a new SUV և new 1.0 turbo engine. The announcement was made in March.
The company notes that the new platform of the Renault-Nissan-Mitsubishi alliance, called CMF-B, allows the creation of new products in the future, as well as possible electrification.
According to the company, its strategic plan is built in three phases, which were launched in parallel. The first, called “resurrection”, is extended until 2023, focusing on the restoration of cash margins.
Second, the “update” is valid until 2025, so that product renewal will increase the brand’s profitability. And the third is the “revolution” that must take place from 2025 to focus the business model on mobility, technology and energy.
“This is a milestone for Renault in Latin America as we prepare to launch new products and engines for our customers,” said Luis Fernando Pedrucci, President of Renault Latin America.
The BRL 2 billion BRL announcement comes after the last BRL 1.1 billion cycle announced in March 2021 for the launch of Zoe E-Tech, the brand 100 100% electric car և Captur model.
