Riverton Little League is starting again

RIVERTON — One of the best parts about the melting snow and spring warming is the return of minor league baseball, which has seen increasing attendance over the years, especially since the fall of COVID-19. This year, Riverton Little League is looking to expand even more, having reached 30 teams last year, which means 30 coaches and 30 assistant coaches are all looking for another season.

Riverton Little League registration closes on March 17th, with the first day of practice technically taking place on April 4th with a skills test for all minors and majors. Late registration runs from March 17-24 for an additional fee of $25.

The Riverton Little League Board of Directors said on their Facebook page that they are “COACHES NEEDED” and that anyone interested in the positions, whether their child is on the team or not, can volunteer by contacting Debbie Combs at (307)-727- 6448 .

On April 5, after the skills tryout, the minors draft will be held at 6:00 p.m. and 7:00 p.m. There will then be a fundraiser for over a month, with all funds helping to go towards everything from jerseys to equipment. It all leads up to the opening pitch on May 1 at the fields off Smith Road in Riverton.
