Robbie Coltrane, who played Hagrid in “Harry Potter,” dies at 72

Robbie Coltranethe beloved Scottish actor who played Hagrid in every movie of Harry Potter, died at the age of 72. According to website Deadline, the actor’s agent confirmed the death on Friday (14).

Coltrane died in a hospital near his home in Scotland. Also according to the publication, the actor had a health problem for about two years and was able to get around with the help of a wheelchair.

In a statement mourning the actor’s death, the agent described Coltrane as “a unique talent” and said that with the character of Hagrid he “brought joy to children and adults around the world”.
