Samsung Galaxy S23 grossly copied by the Chinese
You must have heard this imitation/copying is the highest form of appreciation/flattery. Well, maybe so, but that doesn’t change the fact that in the case of smartphones and other mobile devices, it’s nothing to brag about. This manufacturer from China clearly has no intention of worrying about that, because it will copy the Samsung Galaxy S23 anyway.
From the original to the copier
I admit that when the first information appeared that Meizu would release a smartphone similar to the Samsung Galaxy S23, I found it hard to believe. Still, it was not a Chinese no-name for me, and such people are often “inspired” by devices of world-renowned companies. Meizu has released many original-looking smartphones in the past – why would it suddenly resort to copying?
Perhaps because it has already done something similar – in mid-2022, a cheeky copy of the iPhone 11 appeared on the market in the form of the Meizu mblu 10s. Meizu’s new owner, Geely, the Chinese giant in the automotive industry, clearly has no intention of changing its strategy. Perhaps he believes that copying certain competition will make the brand’s smartphones more popular without having to make significant marketing expenditures that he probably can’t afford now. This time, however, the object of inspiration is not the iPhone, but the latest flagship of the Galaxy S series.
The Samsung Galaxy S23 will see a copy
Meizu’s CFO shared a render of the Meizu 20 smartphone in a yellow/gold color version on his official Weibo account. By the way, he did it on the day when Apple presented the yellow iPhone 14 and 14 Plus – probably not by chance, because the Chinese like such “non-cases”.
It’s impossible not to get the impression that the Meizu 20 looks like the Samsung Galaxy S23, with the only difference being that there’s a glowing ring in place of the third camera, but at first glance you can’t tell. However, there is nothing to produce – not even Eyelets for one eye you will see a double similarity.
Moreover, less officially, we learned that along with the Meizu 20, the Meizu 20 Pro will debut, which will look similar, but on the back will have another circle with a third camera. So you can say it will Samsung Galaxy S23+2.

Meizu 20 and 20 Pro specifications
Even before the official premiere, which is scheduled for March 30, 2023 in China, Meizu revealed some details of the Meizu 20 Pro specification. In addition, the Meizu 20 Pro will be equipped with UWB technology and will serve as a digital car key, receiving a Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 processor with LPDDR5X and UFS 4.0 RAM.
