According to respondents, the tech equipment most likely to be purchased would include vacuums for cleaning up after pets, automatic feeders and pet locators.

“Younger generations are more and more willing to use different kinds of smart technologies. The number of pet owners is also increasing. Therefore, smart technologies designed with pets in mind seem to be the most natural solution for the future,” said Dr. Ilyena Hirsky-Douglas, who helped create the Pet Living 2022 research.

The greatest fear of the respondents was found to be the post-epidemic separation from animals due to returning to the office from remote work. That is why 48% of respondents have equipped themselves with devices that help animals fight against loneliness.

Samsung assured in a press statement that when developing new devices, it takes into account the possibility of their positive impact on the lives of animals.
