Sean Strickland Disappointed with Imavov’s Weigh-In Staredown

LAS VEGAS, NVADA — After losing in a row, one in a split decision against Jared Cannonier, Sean Strickland is back on the winning streak at UFC Vegas 67 on Saturday.

Stepping up as a short-time replacement for Kelvin Gastelum gave Strickland (26-5), who was never in danger of a fight. It was a very different performance from the encounter with Cannonier, where Strickland was clearly more willing to take risks.

“Here’s the thing guys: If I want to dance around and not get hit and just point the guy in the face, I can do that,” Strickland told media including Cageside Press after the match. You know what? You fought like crazy in your last bout. And you do that and you lose. So may suffer brain damage as well. Dance for the little guys, dance, and see what happens.’”

Strickland admits that despite never looking lost in a fight But the referee was worried at the end of five rounds.

“I’m terribly scared. Heh heh heh heh heh heh heh heh heh heh heh heh heh heh These judges, these idiots, you don’t know. Maybe I had some blood on my face and they saw it. and they go crazy Who would know about these things?”

Fighting just a few days out of contention, Strickland also confirmed that he received a flat fee for the matter, referring to UFC matchmaker Mick Maynard as a “gentle mother” for making him his salary.

“No win bonus. They paid me well you guys. They paid me more than this white trash mother should have made. Do you know what I’m saying? They pay me good money, let’s go, Mick Maynard, you f*cking gentle. You went out wrestling with the crocodiles. Threesome- I don’t know what the hell you’re doing, you gentle motherf*cker, let’s go!”

As flamboyant as ever, Strickland admitted he had “didn’t do anything for four weeks” when he received his invitation to fight. Just keep practicing. So he immediately replied, “I just don’t know if this is a good fight with two Ls.”

When matchmaker Maynard offered a flat fee, Strickland did not hint at the exact amount. He immediately agreed, “Damn it, Mick, I’m your hilarious partner. you pay me I’m going to fight Francis. [Ngannou]”

Known for his rants and for showing off a never-ending stream of consciousness, Strickland then pounced on opponents “hardened” Nassourdine Imavov during Friday’s encounter.

“Did you see that maid looking at me while weighing? You guys saw that shit? How difficult is it? Friendly. Too bad your crazy country doesn’t look at everyone who conquers them like that. That’s too bad you guys. with the way he looked at me,” exclaimed Strickland. “Let me tell you guys something. If I’m on the street and that bastard looks at me like that. I’ll definitely shoot it. This is what I don’t understand, man, when you look that bastard in the eye. What are you trying to say? Like I want to have sex with you? If I look at someone like that It usually means that I want to fight him. What are you trying to say? Are you trying to get into my head? I’ll kill you allegorically But just like when you look at me like that I’ll group you and your crazy family if you look at me like that, bitch.”

Borrowing the cliche cliche as it escalates rapidly, but Strickland is no stranger to those dark thoughts. Are they really part of his shit?

“I hate it when the motherfuckers stare down and look at me like that. I fucking hate it It pisses me off like crazy, dude, it pisses me off everyone,” adds Strickland. “You are not my bad father. Don’t look at me like that.”

Summing up his comments about Imavov, Strickland said, “It was a strange way of trying to intimidate me. It’s like mother fucker, I’m going to kill you— besides, don’t dismiss me for this. This is an idea This is a pathetic idea. when men look at me like that I’m gonna kill you and your crazy family. If you look at me like that, bitch, it’s like they’re looking at you and like, ‘What do you want me to do? She thinks it scares me, bastard, does she think it scares me?’ All I try to do is laugh and joke, but you guys, I’ll tell you, it works for me. It hurts me. As a man, I feel the same way. When you look at me like that it hurts me it hurts me and take me where I don’t want to be.”
