Sony is preparing an alternative to the iPhone mini. What will you offer?

The smartphones we see on store shelves have one thing in common – a large display. An alternative to such designs should have been the iPhone mini, but after two generations the model disappeared from the manufacturer’s offer. Sony wants to continue its series of compact smartphones. The latest reports say that the new Xperia Ace IV may go to more than just Japan. We already know what he will offer.

This is something that is missing in our market

Undoubtedly, people tired of large smartphone screens and craving for slightly smaller, compact designs that can fit in any pocket without any problems would appreciate the Xperia Ace series smartphones, which unfortunately did not appear on another market other than Japan.

Of course, these are not smartphones with top components – they are more aimed at the bottom shelf, but this is something that is not available in the European market. The Xperia Ace III model, launched last year, is equipped with a 5.5-inch screen, and its driving engine is a Qualcomm Snapdragon 480 processor supported by 4 GB of RAM and 64 GB of internal memory.

This is not an impressive specification, but it is worth adding that the smartphone offers 5G support and an NFC module. In addition, the Xperia Ace III looks really interesting – it stands out from the competition even with four color versions.

Sony Xperia Ace IV – what do we know about it?

Last month, the first unofficial information about Sony’s new compact smartphone appeared. Then we learned that it will be equipped with a Qualcomm Snapdragon 4 Gen 1 processor with a 5G modem. Therefore, it will not be a performance demon and therefore we cannot talk about competition even from the iPhone 12 mini, but rather an alternative.

Now there are more details about the specification of this model. The most important information seems to be that this will not be the start of a new series, but a continuation of the Ace line. It is very likely that we are talking about the Xperia Ace IV model.

According to a report revealed by SumahoDigest, the smartphone will be equipped with a 5.5-inch OLED display with a Full HD+ resolution (2520 × 1080 pixels) and an aspect ratio of 21:9. We remind you that its predecessor offered an LCD screen with HD+ resolution, so we will see a big improvement. In addition, the new Sony smartphone will offer users 6 GB of RAM and 128 GB of internal memory. The battery should have a capacity of 4500mAh and support 18W wired charging.

Most importantly, there is information that Sony Xperia Ace IV may hit the global market, albeit under a different name. The manufacturer is yet to confirm these revelations, but we can expect them in the near future as the smartphone is expected to premiere in 2023.
