LAS VEGAS, Nevada — The hot questions at Thursday’s UFC 276 conference were: What would Sean Strickland say?
It’s not about Israel Adesanya, UFC middleweight champion and one of their biggest modern stars. It’s not about Jared Cannonier, who, at 38, a reporter at T-Mobile. The Arena in Las Vegas is called cannon fodder.
It’s definitely not about Bryan Barberena, which had little to think about until a big guy like The Schmo decided to throw a bone at him and ask him about a fight with Robbie Lawler.
No, it’s the Strickland Show on Thursday, more than the Stylebender or the Sugar Show.
“UFC was above me from the start,” Strickland replied while answering his first question of the night, asking if the promotion was trying to dominate him. Moments later, he spoke to the crowd.
“This is my first press conference. You guys are vicious bastards. I heard the way you guys said I want to go downstairs and punch all these bastards in the face. jesus christ You guys are mean,” said Strickland, attacking the crowd.
It turned out that he had just warmed up. The separation from the Strickland fans didn’t sting. “I’m probably the only one who shouldn’t be here,” he said at one point.
He turned his resentment on America himself. And what he clearly saw was an attempt to silence him.
“I can shut up and not say the F-word and another thing in America. Let me ask you one thing right now: I can turn on the TV and watch my friend get stabbed in the head, but can’t I speak the F-word? You have to fix yourself. Now, fix yourself.”
Turns out he couldn’t really shut up and didn’t say the F-word, but that wasn’t really the point. Strickland’s main target on Thursday is Israel Adesanya and if the temperature of the possible match is not warm before the press. It became red-hot in the meantime.
The first shot fired by Strickland towards the champion almost flew under the radar. “After we had another war and I defeated Alex. You can see that I am a completely different person. I will start to paint my nails act like a woman I’ll be wearing sunglasses inside,” exclaimed Strickland, delving into Adesanya’s look at Fight Week. I’ll trade in a 2018 Nissan Frontier, find me a Porsche, just wait! I will leave all of you behind. I’ll be the best champion you’ve ever seen, let’s go!”
That’s appetizer. Things erupted when Cageside Press asked Strickland who was the most dangerous striker on stage.
“I will only speak to that man. [Alex Pereira] is that person who sleeps [Adesanya]. Next to me is probably Alex. 2-0 with Izzy?” Then turned to the champ: “Izzy, what is it 2-0?”
Strickland, pulling him into the fire, didn’t suit Adesanya, who responded by telling the Americans to “See next full battle.”
“Oh, I drive the champions crazy with his cold trick and little watch,” Strickland countered, political correctness out the window. If Strickland was really warned to clean up his actions. Something that is now forgotten “No! I’m just kidding. Izzy is a savage older brother,” Strickland said, changing modes.
When Adesanya accused him of slapping Strickland on the butt “like my bitch” backstage, Strickland responded to him, “Nobody dancing to the cartoon can beat me! calm down! calm down!”
Adesanya Threatens To Dance To Victory On TikTok Over KO’d Strickland Should They Fight? “Big-headed guy playing TikTok crazy, maybe that’s your problem,” Strigland replied. “You don’t want this guy to be a champion. You don’t want this guy to be a champion.”
up to one point Both recommend doing it without really trying. Strickland slashed again, “Listen, brother, you’re going to break your nails. Calm down. Calm down, bastard.”
Then Strickland, the good guy again, “No, no, Izzy, he’s a strong man. he is a strong man I don’t judge his porn addiction. I will not be that man I’m not judging his TikTok” that made Adeshaya protest. “It’s called HENTAI,” the champion edited.
“It’s called HENTAI! I’m an adult. I don’t watch cartoons,” Strigland quipped. “Calm down.”
However, one sentence seemed to silence the champion, “Hey Izzy, why didn’t you tell me what I shouldn’t do? Tell me don’t do anything, Izzy. What should I do? Take a nap.”
The mission is complete. No fighter likes to face their failures. No matter how successful they have been since then, Strickland’s surface appears to be beneath the champion’s skin. He took the low road, there was no question about it. Now the question becomes whether he can get into the fight.
Did Sean Strickland steal the show?

There have been many fighters who have had a talent for joking over the years, Shall Sonnen. Conor McGregor. Today’s Bellator motormouth Danny Sabatello may be carrying that torch, Sean Strickland is not one of them. He is not a fast bidder. Although sometimes he will come out good. He might not even be one of the 10 UFC nonsense people, he’s just loosening the screws. Maybe it doesn’t even have a filter.
But the common denominator between them all won. Sonnen won more than he lost. and make it a big fight McGregor walked along, talking, grabbing two positions. Sabatello is currently competing in the Bellator bantamweight Grand Prix.
Although he is not the best speaker. Sean Strickland’s charm, though, is more about what he has to say. But how far can he win? more than he said Six times in a row
If he wins again on Saturday at UFC 276 against Alex Pereira, he might just be fighting “The Last Stylebander” in this case, expecting to hear more of this madness, likely up to 11.
