Friends find a treasure of almost 1 million rials in medieval coins
It was quite an adventure. A group of seven fellow amateur detectorists found an impressive collection of 600 medieval coins worth £150,000 (roughly R1 million). The find, dubbed the Hambleden Hoard, is the largest collection of gold and silver to be found in the UK in the last decade. These friends made history.
