The driver (24) leads the people

At the Bochum Total festival, a driver crashed into a group of people. His car had previously been attacked by the group. Several people were injured, one seriously.

At the Bochum Total festival, there was a police operation early on Saturday morning. On Saturday evening there had been an argument between a driver and a group of festival guests. Several people were injured.

As the Bochum police report, a 24-year-old man from Wuppertal wanted to leave the event by car around midnight. According to his description, he and his co-driver unknowingly turned onto a road that was blocked at the back because of the festival.

After he had passed a larger group of people and turned back, the same group blocked his vehicle from proceeding. According to witnesses, glasses of drink were thrown at the group’s vehicle and eventually someone smashed the rear window with a beer bottle. To escape the situation, the 24-year-old left by car. A total of five people were injured.

The 25-year-old from Bochum was seriously injured in a fight

The driver stopped about 100 yards away and got out, police said. He was approached by an unknown person who then fled. Immediately after that, the police put an end to the fight.

The 24-year-old was slightly injured; from the group that struck, a 25-year-old man from Bochum was seriously injured, while four other young men were slightly injured. The emergency services have treated the injured, the 25-year-old seriously injured has come to the hospital for hospital treatment. The police seized the vehicle and the driver’s license and started the investigation.

The popular music festival Bochum Total has been running since Thursday 7th July and will continue until Sunday 10th July. On the second day of the festival, the police had to be called to a total of 16 crimes, including other cases of physical harm.
